Introduction to Don Brautigam Artist Portfolio
Limited Edition Hardcover
Notes
From the book:
“The edition has been limited to 327 copies for sale. Three hundred copies, numbered in black with Arabic numerals, are bound in cloth and enclosed in a cloth slipcase. Twenty-two copies, numbered in red with roman numerals and signed by the artist, are bound in leather and enclosed in a cloth traycase with an extra suite of oversize prints.”
However, only 30 copies were ever released. All were cloth-bound edition with the signature pages from the leather-bound edition signed by both Mr. Brautigam and Mr. Koontz.
From the publisher, March 2010, email to the author:
“The troubles I had with that limitation page were a bunch. At first, the edition was going to be that many copies with all the extras. Don signed those sheets and then was going to sign the oversize prints when he died. All I had were 30 copies that he signed, and no interest in the unsigned book, so I just had to work with the signature pages that I had and used those.”
From the publisher’s e-mail newsletter, September 23, 2018:
“Wow! We found six signature pages for our special Don Brautigam art book. They are numbered and signed by Don Brautigam and Dean Koontz. These would be a special run of the book. This is an extremely costly book to make, and the price will likely be well over $1,500, so let me know if you might be interested. As always, thank you for your support and have a great week! “
