Issued in wood slipcase and without dust jacket.
These lettered editions were technically issued without jackets. What happened was, there were tons of leftover jackets from the trade editions when Dark Harvest was shipping these (as the trades and numbered ones were published first), and so they just slapped leftover trade edition jackets on some of these lettered ones to protect them when they were shipped. My assumption is that the text in the Dark Harvest DRK hardcover from 1989 is essentially the same as the 1979 Leigh Nichols text, and that the major revisions did not happen until the 1995 Berkley publication. The dating of events in the prose, references to Vietnam, Diskman, etc. seem to indicate a 1995 world, not a 1989 one. The publishing info for the Dark Harvest edition does not seem to indicate revised text, simply the removal of the pseudonym. The 1995 Afterword discusses revisions. The 2010 editions with new Afterword do not contain the 1995 Afterword. As for the new sketchy PoD release, it appears to contain the 1995 Afterword, so it looks like its source must be 1995,not 2010.
