Notes

Based upon the story written by the Martin Stillwater character in Mr. Murder.

From a March 2021 eBay listing :
“This is truly a one of a kind dean Koontz item!!!! There is only one other besides this one and that belongs to dean Koontz! The piece is traced out and then each individual piece is carelly [sic] cut out and painted and then put back together on a wooded frame with gold screws. It has an almost 3D look!! There will never be another one of these for sale as the wood artist has passed away. Also for sale in this auction is the hand written note( on dean Koontz’s stationary) of thanks from Dean Koontz to the artist of this wonderful piece. To quote Dean Koontz “Bob’s (santas twin) teeth look amazing”. Any Koontz fan will cherish this fine piece of workmanship. Note: the piece itself is signed by dean Koontz in siler [sic] ink!!”
(If the link no longer works the asking price was $4400. It had not sold at the time of this entry.)

Part of the Phil Parks artwork is featured in the March 2001 issue of PC Gamer on page 63. The related text has nothing to do with the book; it is just being used to illustrate an “evil” Santa.
