This is a promotional edition of Odd Thomas distributed in two known ways:

1. Via a contest on the Random House Readers Circle Web site. (Original URL: http://www.instapaper.com/u/folder/1732003/dean-koontz-incoming) The contest page showed a black cover with a picture of the carnival gypsy’s ticket.
2. Distributed to attendees of the “Spotlight on Dean Koontz” event at Wondercon 2013. (Original URL: http://wonderconanaheim2013.sched.org/event/05ce52a9365d0d22a89d17bb8a19bf4c#.UewufY2sj8U) This version has a green cover featuring a silhouette of Odd Thomas.

One can assume this promotional edition has been distributed at other events and by other means but I am unaware of other specific instances.

Pages 450-463 contain the first chapter of Odd Apocalypse.
