I must say, while there are many Koontz books I adore a reread repeatedly, Life Expectancy is my absolute favorite. There’s just something about the lightheartedness and humor and positivity throughout that speaks to me.
This is the book that introduced me to Dean and remains my favorite to this day!
I’ve got two copies that both appear to be first edition, first prints, but one is large (9.5×6.5”) on blue boards(black spine) with an embossed facsimile signature, where the other is smaller (8.5×6”) on red boards.
They’re both 401 pages, but the small red one has a barcode with no price tag and a white box in the opposite corner with the number 1175964. The big blue one has a barcode with price tag ($27 US/$37 CAN) and no other white box.
Can anybody explain the difference between the two?
Based on your description I’m confident in saying that the larger one is the trade edition and the smaller one is a book club edition.
