Check out this review of "The Hitchkiker" by Dean Koontz
June 15, 2013

Turns out that the Odd Thomas books published in The Netherlands have significantly different titles. In fact according to this review of The Hitchhiker the three latest books are titled The Hitchhiker (Deeply Odd), The Hotel (Odd Interlude), and The Billionaire (Odd Apocalypse.) Here’s to wondering what Dean thinks of this.

Two more introductions to John D. MacDonald books on the way
May 31, 2013
I’ve previously mentioned that a new edition of Cape Fear by John D. MacDonald will be coming out on 14 January 2014 with a new introduction by Dean.
Well, it turns out that that’s not the only MacDonald title getting the Koontz treatment. Amazon.com is currently listing new editions of A Key to the Suite and Slam the Big Door, both due out on 11 February 2014, and both with new introductions by Dean.
So, at this point, that’s a minimum of three MacDonald titles coming out with Koontz intros. Considering the man published dozens of novels, and Dean’s a big fan, this could get interesting.

Sole Survivor on DVD
May 29, 2013
The TV mini-series of Sole Survivor is finally coming out on DVD. Similar to the DVD version of Intensity this is a DVD-R “on demand” release which means technically somewhat lesser quality but still an official release. (Some very old DVD players may not be able to play the disc.)
According to Amazon.com it is being released on June 4, while other sites list the release data as June 25. Also, Amazon.com does not show a cover image while the one on the right I found on megavideostore.com. I’ve pre-ordered my copy from Amazon and will be sure to post when it arrives.

About the book:
He lives in solitude beneath the city, an exile from society, which will destroy him if he is ever seen.
She dwells in seclusion, a fugitive from enemies who will do her harm if she is ever found.
But the bond between them runs deeper than the tragedies that have scarred their lives. Something more than chance—and nothing less than destiny—has brought them together in a world whose hour of reckoning is fast approaching.
In Innocence, #1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz blends mystery, suspense, and acute insight into the human soul in a masterfully told tale that will resonate with readers forever.

The Afterword in this edition is a reprint of the one originally published in the 2011 premium paperback edition. (And before that in an issue of Useless News.)
Cape Fear with an intro by Dean Koontz
May 3, 2013
Due to be released on 14 January 2014, this new edition of John D. MacDonald’s Cape Fear will contain a new introduction by Dean Koontz. It is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
An insane criminal threatens to destroy a family, and the police are powerless to protect them.
For fourteen years convicted rapist Max Cady nursed his hatred for Sam Bowden into an insane passion for revenge. He lived only for the day he would be free — free to track down and destroy the man who had put him behind bars.
Murder was merciful compared to what Cady had in mind — and what Cady had in mind was Bowden’s innocent and lovely teenaged daughter . . . .

April 20, 2013
Among their creative accomplishments, Pamela and John won first place in Dean Koontz’s “Shoot the Good Guy” audio/video book trailer contest. The winning entry was selected by the critically-acclaimed novelist himself and Bantam Dell Publishing. Of Pamela’s voice, Koontz exclaimed, “Your voice is wonderful.
