From Amazon.com:
Jane Hawk–rogue FBI agent and the country’s #1 fugitive–confronts her worst nightmare when her enemies strike shockingly close to home in the explosive new thriller from Dean Koontz, bestselling author of The Silent Corner.
Jane Hawk thinks her precious five-year-old son is hidden safely away, with vigilant, indomitable friends. But the malice and resources of her powerful adversaries are boundless and their hunters are circling ever closer to the boy, hoping to draw his mother into their trap. Jane’s courage, wits, discipline, and skill will be tested as never before, as she searches for a way through an ever-contracting labyrinth of terror.
Release date: 20 November 2018.
The Makina Trilogy
March 5, 2018
Following up on my earlier Charnel House Darkest Desires post, looks like it’s the first of “The Makina Trilogy” and will be available in multiple audio formats from Brilliance Audio with an August 14, 2018 release date.
Here’s what Amazon has to say on its Darkest Desires page:
“A trilogy of novellas about a clairvoyant, Makani Hisoka-O’Brien, that lead into Dean Koontz’s bestselling novel, Ashley Bell.
“Last Light: A woman with a good heart and a troubling gift. A man with a twisted soul and a terrifying talent. In this literal war of wills, only one can survive.
“Final Hours: Just by touching others, Makani Hisoka-O’Brien can see the darkest secrets they keep. The troubling talent has made the Southern California surfer wary of casual contact. But while impulsively saving a stranger from an accident, she experiences her most disturbing vision.
“Troubled Times: The final Makina novel.”
That makes four novellas, two of which have previously been released. Ok, I’m confused. More as I find it.
Pep Talk From Dean Koontz

Don’t know how I missed this one back in November…
“So you’re three years old. You want to stick a fork in an electric outlet. Your mom says, “You can’t do that.” Or you’re eight, you’ve made wings out of two feather dusters, and you want to jump off the roof. Your dad says, “That’ll never work.”
“Throughout life, we endure negativity from family, friends, associates—and from opinionated strangers we sometimes want to strangle; however, some of it is worth considering.”

Both editions of The Silent Corner have been shipped. That is an actual badge mounted on the lettered copies. The Whispering Room is at the bindery and several weeks out from shipping. This is one very heavy volume, it is almost three inches thick. The choice of four leather colors for the lettered edition was an interesting experiment which gave collectors a hand in designing their own copy. The Crooked Staircase is next from Dean Koontz. This one should be interesting.

DJ ROBOTRON – (PROTEUS IV MIX)

CREATIVE L CONCEPTS & ENTERTAINMENT
Published on Dec 27, 2016
This video music mix I did is dedicated to my favorite Novel (and actors who both passed away this November 2016) The book made the best sellers list & Movie by Dean Koontz called “DEMON SEED” Story: A Computer Genius Dr. Harris played by (Fritz Weaver) developed Proteus IV. An extremely advanced and autonomous artificial intelligence program funded by the government, who built a super computer with an organic brain. And gave it 10 stores deep under ground from the facility where they worked unlimited power & resources. Sound familiar? (Cyberdyne Systems from the Movie “TERMINATOR” But this Novel & movie were years before it. What makes this story so outstanding is that his passion to build this unholy artificial brain became an obsession because of his young daughter dying of leukemia. His way of coping with her death…and making sure no one else has to endure what initially separated him and his wife. Once activated and self-aware Proteus IV came up with a cure in a few days, but then it turned on mankind..and then things took a bazaar and frightening turn. You will have to watch or read the Book, but I did include actual dialog sound clips of Proteus IV (by Robert Vaughn) from the movie (in my mix) so check it out and enjoy.
Track listing I mixed in order:
(1) Volsoc – Easy Edit
(2) “Demon Seed” / Movie (Sound Clips)
Dean Koontz, the superstar author that the French snub
February 26, 2018
This article would explain why I’m seeing so much social media love regarding the French edition of The Silent Corner.
Why ? Because this global phenomenon in terms of sales in France has always rather flopped. His previous editors ( Albin Michel , JC Lattès and Robert Laffont ), no doubt disappointed by American figures, have finally let go. 2018: radical change for Dean Koontz. The American heavyweight arrives at the Archipelago editions by pursuing a new vein. At the head of her new series, a woman: Jane Hawks. “A thriller, with a little zest of anticipation,” says Jerome Pescheux, deputy director of the house that has just acquired the rights, “although such things may already occur today,” he continues.

The Twilight Eyes Promotional Poster: Who signed how many?
January 28, 2018
In the past I’ve known that there were both numbered (quantity unknown) and unnumbered (350 copies) states of the Land of Enchantment promotional poster for their edition of Twilight Eyes. Also, for those years I’ve had one of the signed unnumbered ones on my wall.

For reference, here’s a zoom in on the signed area:

This week two more copies of this poster have come into my possession. Both of them are from the numbered set of 350. In this case copy numbers 176 and 278. Shown here:

Notice the difference? #176 is signed by just Phil, while #278 is signed by both Dean and Phil.
Color me confused.
So now, not only am I wondering how many unnumbered copies were released, but I’m also wondering how many of the numbered ones were signed by either one or both participants. Were there some numbered ones only signed by Dean?
What’s the story here? If you have any info I’d love to hear it.
