New Novel Announced

July 26, 2023

Dean announced the title of the next book after The Bad Weather Friend on the This is Horror podcast last night. It is Going Home in the Dark. Continue listening through about the 10 minute mark for a synopsis. I’ve got to admit, it sounds a bit too much like Stephen King’s IT.

Invaders of the Body Snatchers?

July 25, 2023

From the print version of After Death, pages 338-9:
“Throughout their childhood and adolescence, TV series such as The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits, as well as scores of movies like Invaders from Mars and Invasion of the Body Snatchers, pretty much programmed them to believe wholeheartedly in extraterrestrials.”

Here’s that sentence in the audiobook version:

Whoops.

After Death - ARC

Got my hands on an ARC of After Death This week. Not sure what this says about the current state of the Dean collecting market, but it was the lowest amount I’ve ever paid for an ARC of a forthcoming novel and the closest to release they’ve ever (seem to have) come available online.

  • After Death ARC
  • The Early Thrillers of Dean Koontz (additional details) in Appendix A
(Appendix A has also been resorted into the proper order.)
  • “NOTE”
