This is both the joy and frustration of collecting Dean’s work and related items. Turns out a band named Solid Base released a track based on A Darkness in My Soul back in 1982. I had no clue this existed until this week despite the album having its own Wikipedia entry mentioning this connection. The original cassette release is almost impossible to find but the 2017 vinyl release is in print and available from Dark Entries. (An extra bonus for me is that I’m a long-time Doctor Who fan too…)

Update 1/21/22:
Found them! Thanks to Dion Maher who has better eyes than I do.

Articles from Looper and Screen Rant both claim that among the Clancy, King, and Rice books in the B. Dalton’s Bookstore in the opening scenes are titles by Dean. I’ve looked and I just can’t find any. Does anyone else care to give it a try? Click on the screenshots below for the full-sized images and let me know if you find one.
